Codit QR has no account, backend, advertising or analytics. Screenshots, images, generated content and QR results are processed locally; no recognition history is saved.

Only your language preference is saved locally. QR content and images are never stored.

Only an explicitly requested original-image fetch contacts the image site, without page cookies. The site receives normal network metadata, including your IP address. Opening a link contacts its destination. No remote code or fonts are loaded.

activeTab and scripting enable user-initiated capture and isolated selection. contextMenus adds QR actions. Optional site access fetches original images and can be revoked. No clipboard-read or broad permanent site permission is required.

The storage permission saves only your language preference on this device. It is not synced to an account.

Pasted images come from your paste action. Copy buttons write only the selected text or generated PNG. Downloads are saved by your browser. Temporary image resources are released when replaced or closed.
